MBT Basic Online Training FRENCH - August 30, 31, September 1 (2023)

This training will be delivered in partnership with Le réseau francophone des thérapies basées sur la mentalisation.

Instructors: Dr. Mario Speranza, Dr. Nader Perroud, Dr. Paco Prada, and Dr. Martin Debbané.

The MBT Basic Online Training is an introductory course on the subject of mentalization. This includes subjects such as MBT principles, the Not Knowing stance, empathic validation, and more.

The MBT Basic Online Training will cover the following topics:

• How mentalizing handicaps derive from early parent-child interactions
• How mentalizing failures reflect and cause insecure attachments
• How psychotherapeutic interventions are efforts to correct mentalizing & attachment handicaps
• Mentalizing problems of BPD
• Mentalizing and non-mentalizing interventions
• Developing and maintaining a mentalizing therapeutic stance
• Using basic mentalizing techniques in everyday clinical work in group and individual psychotherapy

Attendees should be qualified health professionals (psychotherapists, psychologists, psychiatrists, mental health nurses, etc.) who have a minimum of 1 year's experience working with people with personality disorders.

The training is composed of 18 hours of live, instructor-led content and 21 hours of self-guided content.
